Hey class! I hope you are all well rested and you are staying happy and healthy. I sure do miss all of you and our conversations we have. I remember when I was growing up, there was this silly game I used to play to kill time...now it is relevant for you. I know I said in our last Zoom meeting that we would do something different because you wanted to go back to waves first. However, this was vetoed (meaning I cannot do this) due to the fact we need to not confuse anyone during this time. Doing something different will cause that. However, we will get back to waves I promise! So, lets go back to the beginning Chemistry, and back to my point of my time eating game. It is called little alchemy (https://littlealchemy.com/), you can play online at the website provided OR download the game app on your phone (does not require internet!). You can make over 500 new "things" based on the 4 elements: air, earth, fire, and water. Apparently you can even make Yoda! I am going to ask you to time yourself for 20 minutes and play the game (no cheating please) and then do a small write up. In this write up, you are going to include how many you were able to create (I did it and only got to 43...womp womp), what was the most interesting "thing" you created within your 20 minutes, and how the "mixture" of these elements relate to what we previously learned in chemistry! Here are my photo's below to show you my awesomeness! Beat me :) Let me know if you need anything at all! I am here for you. If you choose to do this extension assignment this eliminates one of your choice board activities.

I created 41 different things today while messing around with Little Alchemy. the most interesting thing to me was being able to combine things wiith each other and suddenly create something brand new. Out of all of those i really enjoyed combinding birds with random thhings to make new breeds. This applies to previous lessons because when combinding certain elements they could have a reacction to each other to make something completely brand new.

The game gets easier at some points then gets harder again. Once you unlock one thing, you can make almost 10 other things with it. so far i've made 100 elements

The most interesting thing i made was probably a water gun or an armadillo. Like you taught us in past lessons, 2 things that have a chemical/physical reaction to each other can create something new.
